Mentoring Objectives

To provide appropriate guidance, advice, encouragement and emotional support to young entrepreneurs in the starting phase of their businesses.
To transfer relevant skills and knowledge to young entrepreneurs thus helping them become self-reliant, self-sustainable and global minded.

Profile

We are looking for...

Individuals who have experience in starting a business or
Individuals who are able to provide consultancy services in relevant areas such as marketing or accounting or law or business strategy or
Individuals who are able to deliver inspiring talks on an ad-hoc basis

Responsibility

As a YBS mentor, you will...

Meet your mentee entrepreneur on a regular basis, depending on the agreement made between you and the mentee
Provide monthly progress reports together with your mentee entrepreneur
Undergo mentoring training by YBS and attend networking sessions
Have to uphold the YBS Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

Mentors shall provide appropriately accessible advice with accurate details of the information and services so that those whom we deal with on a professional basis can match their needs against our service
Mentors shall be ethically responsible in their teaching methodology and provide sincere guidance
Mentors shall respect new ideas and concepts, allow room for freedom of expression/innovation and intervene only when necessary
Mentors shall provide timely feedback to track business progress, surface concerns, and ensure accountability
Mentors shall keep a healthy and appropriate relationship with the mentees at all times within the service period with Youth Business Singapore
