YB Entrepreneurship Exchange Trip To China, 9 - 16 July 2010

A Youth Business Entrepreneurship Exchange trip to Fujian was organised by YBS from 9 to 16 July 2010. Our Singapore entrepreneurs took this great opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with our Chinese counterparts!
Considering China’s exponential rise in the recent years, visiting China is a must for entrepreneurs and businessmen. “[It is] an important source of growth. The economies of both Japan and South Korea are expanding largely as a result of exports to China. From sectors such as power plants to packaged goods, its share of global growth makes it number one in the world.”*

Youth Business Singapore, in line with our mission to make youths self-reliant, global-minded and successful entrepreneurs; have planned thiis Youth Business entrepreneurship exchange to Fujian, China.
Hosted by our Chinese counterpart Youth Business China (YBC), entrepreneurs had a chance to meet not only the entrepreneurs incubated by YBC Fujian but also the successful and established businessmen mentoring them. YBS had been invited to YBC Fujian’s 5th anniversary celebrations and the Singapore delegation was given the chance to network with YBC Strategic and Corporate Partners.
This is a great opportunity for all entrepreneurs who are looking to expand their businesses into China or are seeking collaboration possibilities with Chinese companies.

Youth Business China (YBC)
Youth Business China (YBC) was set up in November 2003 by the Communist Youth League Central Committee,
the All-China Youth Federation, the State Department of Labor and Social Security, the All-China Federation of Industry
and other agencies. After six years of exploration and practice, YBC has supported 1,000 young people in starting
businesses to drive more than 10,000 jobs in Shanghai, Shandong, Shanxi, Fujian, Beijing, Yunnan and other
12 provinces and municipalities and has set up 25 local work networks, recruiting more than 3,000 volunteer mentors.
YBC's values, resources and pooling mechanisms, and project and operational methods continue to seek innovation,
accumulation, and public support for youth entrepreneurship. YBC led the successful operation of the international
community's concerns, and in early 2010, became China's first public service organizations into Davos. Currently,
YBC has entered a large-scale developmental phase, involving a multi-level, wide coverage of a social welfare
support system to expand development.
